Lee, I think this proves that the little old digital camera is really really basic with photography and that I should leave it to the professionals! These are beautiful - yes, even the sponge - that light reflection is incredible. How much did you have to polish the surface?
It's the lighting techniques that are the secret to getting them to look so good!
Fortunately I didn't have to polish the surface too much, I just used a piece of black perspex, and then with the right camera angle you can catch the reflection. The real bit of work comes from removing all the dust and odd reflections that the perspex picks up (which of course is done in Photoshop)
